The Pavagada Souharda Multipurpose Co-operative ltd had its origin way back in the year 2002 with a share capital of Rs.25 Lakh in the geographically backward taluk of Pavagada in the district of Tumkur. The society’s founder was late Shri Henja Reddy of Pavagada . In the year 2002 the society came under Karnataka state Souharda society act 2002. During the last 14 years the society has opened 25 branches in 8 districts of Karnataka and as on date has Rs 285 crores of total business. The society while accepting deposits from members also offers variety of loans to members. In addition to this, insurance services chits fund, RTGS, NEFT, Passport and Pan Card services, all type of Bill payments, online services are also extended.

During the year 2014-15 a total dividend of 14% is declared.The society under the dynamic leadership of shri B H Krishna reddy, who is the president since 2002, is the guiding force behind this growth saga and we will achieve greater heights under his able guidance in the years to come.
